Energy therapy (4 years)
This four year long study meets the PLATO attainment targets and had a study load of 6720 hours. This study contained the following components:
- Medical Basic Knowledge (MBK), CPION-diploma, 840 hours
- Psycho-Social Basic Knowledge (PSBK), CPION-diploma, 840 hours
- Theory & practice of energy healing, communication, spirituality, philosophy, file creation, business and management, intervision, research, parapsychology, pedagogy, resuscitation, grief processing, sociology, an observational internship, a participatory internship and supervision
I attended this study at Institute CAM, Utrecht, 2016-2020.
Master Content and Knowledge Engineering (5 years, Utrecht university)
I hold a university master’s degree in Content and Knowledge Engineering (5 years of study, graduated in 2009). In addition to my practice, I work as a senior business information analyst (BIA). If you want to know more about this, take a look at my cv at LinkedIn or read mybiografy.
Refresher training
The professional association (VBAG) and health insurers require care providers to continuously train and keep their knowledge up to date. I comply with all the obligations set for this. After my study Energy therapy I followed the following accredited studies/masterclasses/courses:
Emotional Freedom Therapy (EFT), trauma processing
Emotional Freedom Therapy is a technique aimed at extinguishing trauma responses, so that trauma has less control over us. The technique is closely related to EMDR and combines principles of EMDR (distraction through eye movements, among other things) with acupressure techniques.

Periodic peer consultation
Peer review (at least 6 times per year)
I participate in peer consultation with colleagues from the field at least six times a year. During intervision, knowledge is exchanged and we keep each other focused on the quality of care, applicable guidelines and any new insights and trends in our field. There is also room for self-reflection as a therapist and topics such as ethics are discussed.
