Coaching

Coaching is talk therapy in which the coach leads the client to new insights about themselves by means of asking questions.

The goal of coaching is an adjustment of behavior based on a new internal motivation. (Without a strong internal motivation, a change in behavior is never permanent.) This creates new behavior that better suits the client, for example because the client experiences more relaxation or happiness.

The NOBCO describes coaching very striking as follows:

“Coaching is a structured and goal-oriented process, in which the coach interactively encourages the coachee to act effectively by:

  • awareness and personal growth
  • increasing self-confidence and
  • exploring, developing and applying one’s own possibilities

Coach and coachee* each take their responsibility for the process.”

At Pranasana, talk therapy is always accompanied by energy therapy. Energy therapy provides relaxation that puts body and mind in a state that is good for feeling, listening and reflecting. In short: it becomes easier to think about your needs and challenges. We all know it: with a busy head and a busy body it is difficult to listen well; to other people or to your own body. On vacation we often arrive at the best insights and intentions. I also try to evoke that state of relaxation with energy therapy. (In addition, energy therapy has a positive effect on the body, see the page about energy therapy).
